The Nashville Five - "Batman Theme" (Hit Records, 1966)

This is a quickie post today, but here is a cheap-o thrift store find.  In 1966, there was a new cover of the Batman TV show theme every other day, and I could probably do a HEY, MR. BATMAN THEME pretty easily...but instead, here is just this one.  HIT Records was a budget cover label based in Nashville, and their singles sold for half the price of 45's back in the day. I still can't figure out why they didn't have to put any writing credits, though!
You would expect this to suck, but I rather liked it.  For such a simple song, they actually spent some time on it.  There's lots of brass, and a cool organ with lots of revolving speaker tricks.  This ended up being one of the better covers of this theme, and it cleaned up quite nicely. Enjoy!
