Very confusing--of course, who knows when it was actually recorded, or what company originally even made it. I've noticed that, when it comes to kiddie records (especially Power/Peter Pan), there was quite a bit of sleight of hand!Sampoerna Quatrainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17506560297078377249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4522024505631502105.post-35310455161125405822013-12-09T20:40:33.236-08:002013-12-09T20:40:33.236-08:00BTW, Christopher's cover is of the 12" LP...BTW, Christopher's cover is of the 12" LP, and yours is the 7" 33rpm single-story version. You'll get a good approximation at best.
Go through the old posts at:
http://www.kiddierecords.com/
I think some of their Capitol Records Bozo Approved series have the "real" Popeye. Most of the vintage records there have the real cartoon and radio voice actors. The downloads still work.
You might also keep track of what Rockin Jeff posts here:
http://littlegoldenrecords.blogspot.com/
If you find an old post with a dead link, try leaving a comment for him.KL from NYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06582480661926980751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4522024505631502105.post-79709761259201781652013-12-09T08:08:19.418-08:002013-12-09T08:08:19.418-08:00I believe I had this stupid record too, though the...I believe I had this stupid record too, though the cover artwork was updated when my mom bought it for me one Christmas in the 80's....
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu92/damien_stone/popeye.jpgChris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.com
