Yogi Bear - Original TV Soundtracks! (Colpix, 1961)

Whereas yesterday's Warner Bros. LP included stories specially made for record, this product is literally what it says: TV soundtracks.  In other words, audio lifted directly from four animated shorts, with limited interruption from an overdubbed narrator to help move things along, saying things like, "Look out, Yogi! You're going to hit that tree!" as if that helps very much...he's going to hit the tree anyway.
If your mom ever made audio cassettes of the television for you to listen to on car trips as a kid (What? Mine did....I can't be the only one!), then you will take right to this record. Which, by the way, looks like it was issued on CD at one time, but is available only as an import now.  If I'm wrong, will some kind soul please drop me a line, and I'll take it down.

For me, it's the simple place mike in front of TV speaker and press "record"! That was our childhood before VCR's!

The cover to this album looks like it was drawn by a 9 year old over a the course of a lazy weekend!

The Colpix TV Soundtrack for The Jetsons is a must for Howard Morris' trippy "Eep Opp Or Ah-Ah!" Glad they included that episode on the record though strangely never giving us the opening and closing credit themes.

'Tis true; that was our childhood!
The cover is indeed abysmal...the whole thing should be filed under "phoning it in."
Ah yes, the famous Jetson's song from "A Date With Jet Screamer"...I know I have that somewhere, but not the record you speak of!

I saw someplace a version of the song was also released as a 45 by Golden Records, though it's got Judy Jetson singing it (albeit, New York people voicing these guys instead).
